The problem is if the companies were to come back making 2 stroke performance machines they would have to make them so called "enviromental friendly" And if they do this it would decrease the perfomance of these machines so much they wouldn't worth buying. They would be outperformed by the modern 4 strokes of our day. The thing is by the year 2006 NO MORE 2 stroke anything will be made by any company, including boat motors, jet skies, you name it. If it's a 2 stroke bye bye, which I think is sad because I think they are great (250 R mostly). And it's all because of Enviro *****. And I always wondered why 2 strokes are such a problem anyway. I don't think they give off that much pollutant in the air, I mean think about it the Deisel powered garbage truck going by your house is way worse than any 2 stroke ever made. But you don't see anyone bitchin' because of that. Just my $.02 of it all.

Run the wheels off 'er!!!!!

How many 86-88 250r's do you see? How about 89's? How many early quadracers do you see? How about 92's? I think people just lost interest in these bikes and the manufactures couldn't get rid of them. How many 92-94 banshees do you see compared to 99's? I feel the sport quad market has just started picking up in the past few years. This coupled with the death of 2-stroke is why no manufacture is in a fizz to build one again.

Speaking of dumb lawsuits....Did everyone see the news about the people(or person) trying to sue McDonalds for making them fat? LOL! How does that 1 commercial go? "The best diet she was ever on was quiten eaten". LOL! If I were to ever sue anybody, I'd sue whoever is responsible for making it so damn cold up here!

I'll tell you why they stopped making the hi-performance two-strokes......it's because most people who bought these type of machines had no ****ing clue how to ride or respect the kind of power these quads were capable of generating. When they got hurt because of their own stupidity.....they whined and cried like a bunch of p****** and blamed the "racer" quad. It's a shame that they are going to stop making two-strokes (they really haven't made them for about 10 yrs other than the bikes and banshee), In my opinion, two-strokes are the only truly "race type engine", there's nothing like that hard-hitting/explosive powersurge. I grew up on two-stroke dirtbikes and have ridden a few of the 2-stroke quads so I guess I am biased. I don't hate the 4-stroke like I used to.....my brother bought a 400ex when they came out and after riding it for a while and getting used to the engine..... I thought it was great. I still enjoy woods riding on it- but it just doesn't have that "punch" that the 2-stroke has. I'm not cutting on the new "racing" 4-strokes- I've never ridden one thats been modified and tricked out and I'm sure they're a blast to ride, but for the people who cut down 2-strokes and have ridden nothing but 4-strokes......you have no idea what your missing.
