Hello everyone, I enjoy reading all the other general topics. It gives lots of tips and tricks for that machine. So far no one has started a sport quad general post so I thought I would kick one off. Post here if you have any 300ex mods, recommendations, tips, or anything else. To start out I have a FMF Megamax II, wiseco 11:1 piston, web-cam torque cam, holeshot tires
front(21x7-10) and rear(20x11-9), Works dual rate front steelers, and a uni filter. I think all of these mods worked well on the bike and haven't had any problems out of any of them.

I've got a '98 300EX. I just have a UNI filter on it and a 14 tooth front sprocket. It pulls the bigger front sprocket great, and picked up 5 mph on the top end. No need for a longer chain either. The stock Honda filters are great though, you really don't upgrade much when you put a UNI on a Honda!

Hey boys, well i have a 87 250X(pretty much the same as the EX). And i was wondering if it is possible to replace the stock rear spring with one off of a 300EX to get a plusher ride, i read in another thread that the tow springs are different and the EX's are a better ride, do you think i can get an after market spring for my X? thanks guys and how much would it cost for someone to rebuild my carb?? thanks

I put a DG supertrappe pipe on my 300ex and a K&N filter, DG nerfbars, DG bumper, holeshots front, bandits back, rear spacers to make the rear end have a wider wheel base, and a few other little DG mods
ALL IN ALL MY 300ex flys i really like it my pipe is really loud but i have not yet have complaints because the sound of my quad doesn't last long because i am always FLYIN by

I am a couple of weeks away from having my EX back together. And a couple of months away from getting the full affect of her new capabilities.(thanks too a long Minnesota winter)!!!
Starting with my stock 00' 300EX. Here is what I am doing as of right now.

TC Racing piston
TC Racing cam
TC Racing valve springs
TC Racing CDI black box mods
WhiteBrothers E-series pipe
WhiteBrothers head pipe
WhiteBrothers powerfilter
WhiteBrothers 14 tooth front sprocket
OEM jets in the carb,
And red OEM plastic all the way around, with red hand grips and red handlebar caps.

After tax time....
Holeshots with Douglas wheels
And a suspension upgrade.

In the great words of Homer J. Simpson,,,,,

speedyex,
when you put the 11-1 piston in it, did the starter make a noise when you turn it over when it is cold ??
mine makes this horrible noiase that comes from the starter. I was just wanderign if anyone has any ideas on how to stop it???? do they make rebuild kits for the starter ???

11-1 wiseco piston
ported intake and exhaust
DG exhaust system
Durablue Eliminator axle
RAD bearing carrier
K&N

it is for sale too

i think the noise you have was caused by the higher compression piston. it put an extra strain on the starter. by increasing the compression it makes it harder for the starter to turn the motor over. but im not sure what it could be.

as for the 300ex thing : 2000 300ex with white bro. e-series pipe and silencer ,k&n filter ,dyno jet kit, razr rears, soon to have renthal bars and barnett clutch kit.
