wasnt there a problem with the z-400's rear suspension? i hear that when Zuki designed the swingarm mount, they left the original mount on the DRZ-400 dirtbike engine, which is higher than the swingarm mount on a quad. seems that the suspension was locking out whenever the gas was given, and was a problem. thats what ive heard, correct me if im wrong

a bike lenght or two? mr350x where have you been? under a rock or what? ive seen this race over and over its not a comparison in a straight line drag race between the z and the ex. no i dont ride a z nor do i want one. i just state the facts. maybee i went a little extreme with the second rate comment, im sorry, second rate in technology!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

and it is real fastttttt no lie!
and my son is a fast rider too and to us draging is almost every thing it suc*s to loseeeee
right now it looks like trick 250r w/custom paint but were getting ready to make it look stock again

Sorry but you're giving to much credit to the quad. If you know how to ride, it's YOU that other people can't beat, not your quad. If you're a good rider, you can make anything haul *** on the trails, track, whatever.
bassetboy55 - Dude, ride the 400ex and see if you like it. If you can have a good time on it, buy it, and don't listen to everyone else on here. It may take a heavily built motor to go fast and beat everyone in a drag race, but for the other 99.9% of riding done, it's YOU that makes the quad go fast. The 400ex is a nice quad, just like any other quad that you can have a good time on.

I had a 99 Honda 400EX for a couple years.On trails i absolutely loved it....very predictable.If i only rode trails i agree GREAT QUAD.Dunes.........Lack of power is very evident when you hit the sand.I swear i hated riding it in the dunes and wanted to kick it off a cliff but id get home and Trail ride it and wouldnt have traded it for anything. late,zubbeyboy

In the last shootout I read, with pro riders, in a drag race, the Z was .16 of a second ahead of the EX. That's sixteen hundredths of a second, for you dropouts. Not much at all, after hearing all the hype about how superior the Z is compared to the dinasour EX.
I like the looks of the KFX/Z, and the idea of liquid cooling. I've done without reverse, never missed it, and I'm quite happy with my EX.
