I'm sure your going to get a lot of different opinions on these quads but they all are very similar in most aspects. I think you'll find as the months go by, more and more poeple will be leaning towards the Suzuki Z400. The Raptor is nice but a little bulky (depending on your weight) and really not that much stronger when stock. As far as the KFX400, 400EX, and Z400 go they all run a close race. Check out what the pros are racing in the four stroke class and you'll see. Most are Z400 and 400EX.

By the way the KFX400 and Z400 are about 85% identical. Same engine from the same company. Z400 has more aftermarket parts though.

Good Luck!

Raptor good for if you are a fat guy or want to build an awsome 4 stroke dragster.
Z400 seems to be popular and an all around great quad.
400EX slow and needs alot fo money to make it go fast. Trust me i have enough into mine and it still is not fast enough.

how about a 520cc big bore from ALBA on a Z400? You think it'd smoke your raptor?

"By the way the KFX400 and Z400 are about 85% identical. Same engine from the same company. Z400 has more aftermarket parts though." The kfx 400 and the z 400 are almost identical the only thing that is different is the plastic. All the aftermarket parts that you see listed for the Z will fit the KFX some of the manufactors don't list that it will fit the kfx but it will.
Personally i have a 02 400ex and i would go with the kfx.

My buddy just bought himself a 400ex and he loves it. I love my 400 without a doubt. But, if I were to do it all over again I would buy an Alba Z400. Right now i'm going to wait twenty years until honda comes out with there new quad .

if money is no object..... you'll need about $8,000

I'd get a Raptor, put a pipe, wider A-arms, and a wider Axle on it....

it would be a great handling, fast, dependable quad
