No, no, no. Get a 250r engine, or even better a banshee engine!

I think BB might be a little sensative becuse he has probably gotten his but handed to him in a couple of drag races against LT's. I have been around quads sine 1985 (Suzuki quadsport 230) then 1992 Quadracer 250, then Warrior (reliable but real heavy front end) then 88 250R (great quad). Then I got out of riding for a few years due to having kids, now I have religated myself to a Utility Foreman 450(I'm now 38).

As far as reliabilty goes Honda is number 1, my 250r was a fantastic handling quad but my 92 LT250R was faster. I have read shootouts from the late 80's where they test the 88 250R, Lt250r and Tecate 250. The Tecate was fastest/quickest (but no bottom end) and handling was OK. Suzuki LT250r was second fastest/quickest and had the most rideable powerband (due to the powervalve), The Honda 250R was the best all around machine but was the slowest in a drag race and did not have much bottom end (more than the Tecate though). I have never actually ridden on or with a Tecate 250 so my information comes from what I have read.

On a MX track a 250R will win every time, due to the the great handling, The Tecate just never sold well enough to have the aftermarket companies produce HOP-UP parts for them so their future was limited. The Suzuki LT250R had a great motor 88-92 very reliable and tons of power, the frames and swingarms SUCKED, they would crack and the frame was to wide in the front so the A-Arms were much shorter than the 250R, which caused lots of bump steer

So BB you should probably take your POWER RANGERS emblem and go back to jr high, because you speak from your hart not your mind, you don't have any reliable information to back up your statements and you act very childish.

I do agree that RIDER62 should get a 250R motor if he could find one but he clearly states " he cant fine a 250R motor for cheap enough" so get over and go watch your POWER RANGERS cartoon.

There are a couple of CR500 motors on ebay right now, $700 and $400, that would be one bada#@ quad. You would have to strengthen the frame though as it does not have a balancer in it and it would shake a stock frame to sh#@

I would like to thank you, 03foreman, for showing all of us adults on the forum that the unedjucated, ignorant, small ***** individuals are still out in full force. Now, I am sure that you want to reply back stating that you worked hard for your GED and finally recieved it at the ripe old age of 32 and that it's the motion of the ocean that counts; but please do us all a favor and hold back your unecessary comments.

Thank you 03foreman for not continuing the bashing, maybe I was wrong about you. Now that the air is all cleared I just want to say that just because I don't like the LT's doesn't mean you shouldn't. I have ridden several and I don't think they are particularly bad machines, I just wouldn't put the engine in the Honda frame. As for the symbol that everyone seems to be admiring (laugh), warrior007 had the closest guess, it is an autobot symbol from the transformers.
