Default non expensive mods for 03 300ex

I own a brand new 300ex. Im ready to do a little modding to it. Can anyone give me some pounters or hints on what things to buy. I know a new sproket will give me more top end but will I lose alot of low end? Is it very noticeable? or will it kill it totally and I wont be able to pop it up. Can I jet it with out putting a pipe on it? can I put a k&n on it with out jetting it? or vise versa if you know what I mean to make it simpler, can I do one or do I have to do all three?any help would be greatly appreciated.

pipe and filter. start basic. after that comes cams and big bore's. might be able to find a cheap big bore kit if you look hard enough. labor is where they will get ya.

Yeah I put a FMF pipe and Uni filter on myn and it made it a new bike, they respond well to mods. Hey does anyone know what size jets I should be runnning on my 300EX it's got a FMF pipe and UNI filter, I forgot what jets I have now but it sputters when you let off the throttle

Whatever you do DONT go with Supertrrap they suck! they are really inexpensive but they suck all it does is make the bike louder and maybe a tiny difference in 2nd gear torque.

Put a 14T front sproket on the front. I had a FMF Mega Max and I liked it.

With a 14T front sprocket you will hardly notice any low-end loss. You will just notice faster top speed. Go to www.denniskirk.com/offroad.htm or www.rockymountainatv.com they both have exhaust systems and sprockets. You will notice cheaper prices at Rockymountain but that doesn't include shipping, denniskirk has free shipping you just have to pay a little more for their products.
