Does anyone know details on how to convert a 300EX front suspension to the 250r without the kit? Do 250r a-arms fit on the 300ex without mods? If so all you would have to make is new shock mounts right?
Also, how much better are stock 250r shocks than 300's and are the stock 250shocks better than aftermarket 300's?

they make a weld in kit for the 300ex to use the 250r shocks i think

 

I would not reccommend this without the kit. The kit is about $125. Also do not stick weld the shock mount on get it professionaly Tig welded. I have this done on my TC 405ex and i have burguard +2 a arms with axis 250r shock set up. Stock 250/300ex shocks are small and do not have much travel. This setup will allow longer travel shock setup .
