Default Honda 250r VS Yamaha Rapter Both Stock

Well, interesting.... the two 'yes it will's' are coming from two guys with 250R's in their icons.

Sorry guys, my old stock 400EX would hang neck and neck with my buddies R.
My other buddies STOCK raptor would kill my 400EX in a race.

You guys are wrong.

A bone stock 88-89 Honda 250r would beat a bone stock raptor in a 300ft drag. But if you guys want to make this drag race 2 miles long, Than maybe the raptor would catch back up. Because I'm sure the raptor has a little bit more top end

Mr350X, you sure are cofident for someone who doesn't own a raptor or a 250r. (have you ever owned either ?) I ride wit a bunch of Raptor owners. I have also been riding the 250r since it's birth in 1986. So I speak from experience. Not none of this "My buddy's girlfriend's brother's dad cousins best friend has a friend who spanks 250r's on his raptor all the time".

No, its not complicated at all.

I owned a 400EX, one buddy owned a R, and the other? yep.. a raptor.
Is that difficult to understand?

Although I never saw them race, I raced BOTH... many times.

Simple:

400EX vs. R: wheel to wheel, untill he was in 6th, then he crept by me.

400EX vs Raptor? He walked away from the get go.

Not complicated at all.

I know the title is "stock for stock" basically. But lets be honest, who leaves their bikes stock? stock is slow, and a racing a chipmonk wouldnt even be a race. Hell you can take your dog for a walk on these stock bikes and the mutt wouldnt even be out of breath. So...lets look at this. first your going to want a pipe...already the raptor wont touch a 250r with a pipe. Then put some holes in the air box to help it breath a little. Now if both machines had equal mods there, the 250r would be faster. Then you start going to the big bores and "oh wait a minute....where'd the raptor go". You later come to find out he had to stop to clean his goggles because he was so far behind.

So, dabeechman is agreeing that a stock raptor is faster than a stock 250R fourtrax?
