It depends on the rider, the stock DS is quicker/faster than a piped Raptor, with that unless your 250R is modded (pipe, carb, porting) you should not have been able to beat the raptor.

Put the same rider on the DS that was on the Raptor and it will be a close race.

My R is bored (265), piped, ported, and filtered- this set up will beat a piped raptor? How about a predator?

dude, you wish, where are you from, if your close to TX maybe we can line your 265R up with my piped DS and we'll change your opinion on that last outcome you posted.

why race a stock ds if yours isn't stock? Try putting that 250 against any moded ds and then report on it. Jump on the bombardier forum there's plenty all over the us on there. And they all seem pretty cool. I'm sure any of them will jump on the chance of showing the type of speed a ds has.

not many ds's that will hang with a properly setup 250r. They are good on the top end. But on the bottom they arent all that spectacular

The DS isn't all its cracked up to be!
Lets think about this for a minute.... 650cc's vs 265cc's.... hmmmm Should be obvious right???
There's lots of solid running little Honda's out there that will give them a big wake-up call!!

Lets just say " DS-650's have LEGS" they don't have as much torque as a stock LT500R (quadzilla). Two of my buddies have those two quads and they race all the time, most of the time its a toss up in a drag race, but the DS handles alot better.
