Anybody dyno there stock 250ex??? I am going to do some dyno runs on my kids 250ex. I can not do before and after. I have already installed a mbrp pipe. I am jetting it up tonight for a few more runs tommorow. Thanks.

 

dyno? sounds like a waste of money on 250ex. let us know how the pipe does. i was thinking big gun for the wifes 250ex. did you get k&n filter?

 

Considering the 300 (282cc) only cranks a tad under 14 horses (a beast), I would put the 250ex at about 11-12 realistically.

 

Last year I read it in the buyers guide, believe it was 11.5 HP. I just remember the lakota and 300EX was 13.9.

If it's a big deal I still have the issue, just have to find it.

 

I think I read 11.9 but it could have been 11.5.

 

Guys you are close. It dynoed at 11.2 the first run. Jetted it up and got 11.7. Made a few more changes and now it is way rich. Shooting for 12.2 on the next run. Since i have started messing with it, i have made it go pretty good. In the span of 4 runs i have picked up a few hp down low and in the middle. top stays about the same. I do not think it will hit 13hp. I am going to check in on some new rocker arms that powroll sales.

 

let us know what you end up with and what you did and spent to get it there. There are a ton of 250ex riders around that I'm sure would be interested.

 

When it is done i will report. It will take some time to sort all the info out. We are dynoing 12 or more quads in a millon different settings. Taking the lid off made a dyno run with higher peak hp but with a bunch of spikes on the way. I will sort it out soon.

What year 250ex? Im just intrested beacuse I im planning on doing some work on my 85 250sx and want a idea on the stock HP beacuse I wont dyno till the final jetting, and the two motors are the same(it its the atc250ex other than cams) so some near stock numbers would be great for comparing.
