i am going to get a new quad and i can't decide between a 400ex, z400, or a predator 500. i was wondering which one is better. which one has the best suspension, and the best handling of all of them? also, what are the top speeds of all of them, and is the 250x a good quad?

yes, but i hear that raptors tend to break a lot, is this true? they are also very expensive compared to the z400, the 400ex, and the predator 500. around how much would a good used raptor cost?

 

Go with the Z400. Not the fastest but the best all-around quad of the ones you mentioned. Top speed of my Z is in the low to mid 60s with my big behind on it.

 

The 400ex is the most reliable and probably handles the best. The Z is a good quad but feels slightly top heavy. Only the 01 Raptors are pieces of crap. Trust me. The 02 and 03's are very decent. The polaris is the one i would go with though. Fox shocks, and its almost as fast as a raptor. It will take a raptor off the line. The only drawback that i can see is that they are heavy.

Cannondales are great ones too. No jetting, and they are as fast as raptors and a whole lot lighter. ONly problem is that they arent making them anymore. Parts will become hard to find soon. Its a shame.

4/get 4 strokes, go w/ a 2-stroke (250r) theyre so much better, they can be unreliable if u dont maintain it and take care of it but theyre very inexpensive to fix unlike a 4 stroke. Alot easier (cheaper) to make fast too. But since ur lookin for a 4stroke I'd say the 400ex would be the one to go with, the z400 is a good bike but it does feel kinda heavy and its more expensive to mod, the Predator looks like a bad *** bike but thats all it is, its heavy and the tranny kinda sux its hard to shift in the high rpms other than that its a alright bike, a raptor has ***** but all its good for is climbing and straight runs its too heavy for anything else, but these are just my opinions[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I'd say go for the pred, the 400ex is lacking on power in my opinion. The Z is a nice machine, but I looked at all that came on the pred that is above OEM quality and decided that it was the best machine for me. I love 2strokes but got sick of the small problems that come with a 14 year old machine. And I do all the maitenence on mine but that still doesn't prevent everything. Go with the pred and you'll never regret it.

anything else, get the RAPTOR
