I own a 2000 400 EX, and am wondering what filter to get. I ride in an area with all conditions. There is mud, water, dust, and hardpack. I plan to take my air box lid off when I get a filter. Which should I get? A Uni filter, or a K&N filter with an Outerwears cover? Please help.

Get a K&N I've heard nothing but good things about the filters they make.

The only time I have seen a K&N fail is when the owner did not clean ard oil it as they should have, My friend is having his 96' Ford Powerstroke diesel rebuilt due to dust intrusion from a dry K&N. For the Best protection I would pick up the UNI. Just my 2 cents, the K&N is great, just keep it oiled
