That is normal for 4x4. I have an 02 and it doest it too sand, snow. I did notice it does it more with higher air pressure in the tires.

 

I'm not to worried about the bouncing but it's the knocking noise in my front differential that has me worried. I'm just not sure about what is causing this noise or if it is actually hurting my atv. Help please!!!

 

Me too. I would hate to blow up my front diff or transmission and have the dealer say that it was due to bigger than stock tires. That is why I would like to know if the gearless diff lock from hilifter will eliminate this problem.

 

I would think that even with the gearless locker there would be a bit of slack in the diff, if not at first there prabably would be after you break it in and loosen it up. The gearless locker might void some warranties as well so be carefull about installing one.

 

does anyone know what would cause a knocking noise in the front-end when it gets in a bind?
