Default Problem: 350X not starting

Please help!!! I have recently bought a 250X that has a 350X motor in it, the carb has been replace so it starts really well most of the time, but when I am riding and I kill it on accident by letting the clutch out to fast (give me a brake it has been a few years since I have road) it has a really hard time starting back up. The guy that did the conversion supposedly flat track raced it so it has been hopped up quite a bit. He has bore it to a 423(la sleeve) but took the oil cooler off for some reason, I would have thought that he should have put on a bigger cooler and not removed it. Do you think that it could be over heating? I have been give advice that it could be stator? I don’t know what it is but I am feeling really screwed right now. I am not much of a gear head so I probably should have gone with a more traditional bike but when the first time I rode I couldn’t believe how fast it was (for the money). I should also mention that when ever I mean to kill it, it starts right back up every time no matter how long I have been riding or if I had just finally got it started back up.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry this may seem scatter brained!!
