300ex to 400ex

I own a 1998 300ex which i bought new and I usually ride it 5 out of the 7 days in the week unless it is pouring the rain or it is being repaired. I have went through 2 sets of rear tires and now on the third set same way on the sprockets and chain, I have went through 5 or 6 sets of brake pads, getting ready to put in a new axle carrier which will be the second one i put in, broke the left shock once, had to put all new bushings and stuff in the a-arms all of them which gets really expensive for just them little tiny things. The only mods on it it is a complete FmF Performax exhaust and a K&N air filter, also the FmF broke a couple of weeks ago the weld broke on it which is easily fixed. Anyways I pretty much think i have wore my 300ex out and now considering a 400ex which i have rode and liked very well. I was just wondering what the owners of the 400ex's thought of them and if not having reverse is a really big deal?

I don't miss reverse. Everyone said I would but I can push it or flip it around easier than finding that darn reverse. If they had it like the old 200sx's where it was push down on the button on the bars and shift down it would be different. It sounds like its time to have a little extra ride (power) anyway. You should go to work for honda as a consumer advisor with that kind of use!

Yeah my 4-wheeler gets put to plenty of use I'm not the type of person that likes to leave them sitting in the garage like my dad that bought his 1987 350 4x4 honda new and has the original brakes on it not adjusted out at all!!!!!
I guess my 300ex has the right to wear out all the riding I have done on it...
