Default recon jet size

Im planning on putting some mods on my recon.starting with a complete supertrapp exaust,K&N filter, and I cut the top off my snorkle. My question is what size jet do I have to use?I already cut the snorkle and it was breaking up at mid range.I messed with the air screw and smoothed it out a little.does just opening up the snorkle alone requier me to rejet?

Yes. Try a 110 main, it should get you pretty close.

I don't know what the airbox looks like or how the snorkle is configured on the Recon, but on my 2003 Foreman 450 I was able to add a second snorkle to the airbox and run it up the opposite side of the gas tank. I also added and Supertrap IDS-X exhaust and Twin-Air filter , with those mods I went from a stock #130 main to a #140(it helped allot). For the mid range problem your having try lowering the clip(raising the needle) on the throttle slide, that will fatten up your mid range. Your stock jet size is #95 on that Recon, with all the mods you are talking about I agree a #110 should be OK, your always better a little FAT anyway. With just the snorkle cut I wouldn't go more than a #100.

I just looked on Ronnies ATV microfische for the Recon, what's up with that tinny hole in the top of the snorkle, what was Honda thinking.

I have not jetted yet.Hopefully this weekend i will get time to work on it.I will let you know nitrous.Although I already cut the snorkle it was not running that well I messed with the air screw a little bit and it seems to be running pretty good right now,but that was for about ten minutes up and down the street.I have a K&N jet kit and filter ordered it should be here this week.I don`t know if a 110 jet comes in that kit so I`m going to try whats provided if it does not work I will pick one up.When its done I`ll let you know.Still undecided on what pipe to get.Any suggestions?Hows that pipe work for you 03Foreman?Thanks for your reply.
