I have a 86 TRX250R with a wiseco +.020 piston,boyeson reeds,FMF goldseries fatty"rev" pipe,powercore 2 silencer,porting by john doe, motion pro twist throttle,nac's cassaver,uni air filter,152 main jet,20/11/9 6 ply razr's on itp .190 wheels 18/11/8 holeshot mx's on mitchell red labels RM 80 clutch perch,future mods include 21/7/10 holeshot's on douglas red labels,dg nerfs,dg bumper. A freind of mine just got a a Y2K banshee all stock we plan to race up a slight hill who do U think will win with my mods I feel I have a slight edge on him. He has the stock tires which get miserable traction while my razr's hook up great and wheelie when I take off and shift 1-3 gear my front tires are of the ground my top end was rebuilt in febuary so it still pretty fresh.rememb3er RIDE RED RIDE SMART AND RIDE HARD!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but if the Banshee hooks up even a little your are going to be toast. A short race you might win but if the Banshee gets into her power range (Mid-high RPM) its all over.

You should easily beat him. If you have a good port job and the bike is jetted correctly you will waste that bashee. I have seen a stock R with a good pipe give a Banshee a run for its money

 

are U saying my 250r is not good what's up with that my 250r might not be a leager framed CT330R but it is my pride and joy did I ever say anything about your trike no did I say anything about your 250x no so why are U dissing my bike.

 

I think i might beat him my cousin has a 99 400ex with some mods like jet kit k&N filter modified stock exhaust and he can beat a banshee and I can beat him it is all up to who gets the holeshot. that's just what I am thinking

 

250rman: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe krabill was responding to snowshark's post, not yours. I haven't ridden either bike, but I would think a modded up 250R would beat a stock banshee no prob.
