250X, and 250EX aren't even in the same ballpark as the 250R. The X and the EX are great beginner quads, and the 250R is more for experienced riders that are very mechanically inclined, as they are at least 12 years old.

the 250x is just as old as the 250r, and it is the same as the 300ex but with less cc's, yet the 250x is more powerful than the 300ex producing 18 hp instead of the 300ex which produces only 12-14 hp, so quadfather maybe you should know what your talking about before you say anything. the 250x is great for trails with lots of low end power and is great for wheelies and jumps.

did i miss something?

The 250r is the fastest, and best handling, overall the best of the bunch.

The 250x is a good trail quad, ample power for a small bore 4 stroke.

The 250ex is a good beginners quad, it has a centrifugal clutch and enough power for most unexperienced users.

The r and x are out of production, and have been for quite a while. Many of them are still on the market, and aftermarket parts are all over for both. The ex is currently in production.

I never said that any of the quads mentioned wasn't a good quad. Most anyone that has ever sat on a quad would agree that the R is in a class of its own. The R is a two stroke, which generally means it will need more TLC, whereas the other two mentioned are four strokes. Being a four stroke, and being a Honda usually means if you put gas in it, it will run forever. Chill dude.

How very true. That is one of the things in the industry that has not changed over the times, and Im sure no one wants that to change now.

By most big bore owners opinions, the 400EX is/has been a beginners quad. We can't always own the biggest, fastest quad out there all the time. It never hurt my feelings.

this should tell you that with eqaul weight and equal skilled riders, who should out accelerate the other on an asphalt drag race... top speed MAY be a different story, due to gearing
