Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum. I own a '00
Recon. My question was in regards to performance. I have already installed a SuperTrapp exhaust and K&N filter. This seems to have helped but it could be better. I really enjoy the lightweight bike but I ride with my Rancher buddies and consistantly lose the drag races by 3 - 5 bike lengths. First through third I right there with them. Any suggestions as to what would increase the ponies? I have considered a carb jet kit. Would this really help? I have also heard that a taller tire could increase top end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

Jet Kits are said to improve throttle responce. Taller tires are also said to improve top speed.
Call around some places, you might find some one that will bore it for you ( if you want to spend that kind of money ). You might want to look into a bigger carb alltogether.

 

i have heard of a 310 big bore kit and a 28mm carb kit i am not sure if these kits are for real though the carb kit is supposedly from carb parts werehouse go up to sizes on the main jet dont get the dynojet kit waste of money same gain from a 4 dollor jet

 

also adjust your carb so it opens up all the way

 

Would going up two sizes on the Main Jet actually take the place of the dynojet kit? Does it only consist of this one jet? Also, What steps would you take to insure that the carb was opening up all the way? Any help appreciated!
