I have a Foreman S that currently has vampires on it and they really limit the quad in hard pack so, I am looking to get some all-terrain tires for it. I am looking at either Bearclaws or Dirt Devils and I am wondering about the size. The Vampires are 27x10x12 on the front and 27x12x12 on the back. I would like a somewhat smaller tire I think like say a 25" but, I can't find a 25x12x12. Any recommendations?

I would get the Bear Claws, but the Dirt Devils are not a bad all around tire either. Cost should be about the same on the two tires.

If you need the ground clearance get some 26-27" tires but the 25" tires should handle better and you should accelorate a little better as they are same as stock size. Look at www.4atvtires.com to see if they have the 25" tires in the width you want if they are not there try www.HighLifter.com. I hope this helps.

 

You might look at the maxxis alltrak, they are some good all terain tires and I will prabably get them for when I am not mudding so I don't wear out my Claws.

 

Check out the ITP MudLites too. Best price on any 6 ply tire out there, I can't keep them in stock! Everyone is very happy with them, they're simular to a Bearclaw.

 

Do you think the mudlites will handle better on hardpack than Vampires(Which is what it has now)?

Have you thought about Titan 489 X/Ts? They are great on hard pack and do ok in the mud. They are also 6 ply and that helps greatly on punctures. The rear size is 25 X 10 X 12 but you really dont notice the 2 inches you loose in width.
