does anyone know were i can get a 440 kit cheap and installed also my quad is all stock what else would i have to do to make it get its max power

 

I read in Dirt Wheels back in 99 they put a 440 kit in a ex and they siad that the 440 kit with a 11:1 piston and nothing else will give you 5hp.

Well.. getting the 'max power' out of your 400EX will not be cheap... period.

I installed a 440 kit in my old 400EX. The kit from IMS was about 300 dollars, plus the machine work on the cylinder
was about 100 bucks. So, for 400 bucks you will wake it up quite a bit, but it wont be a raptor killer.
It will just hang with one a little better.
