Default Honda Rancher Pro Circuit T-4 Exhaust

Hi, I just ordered a Pro Circuit T4 silencer for my 2002 Honda Rancher...I was just wondering if it gives it a noticable power increase and if its loud?

well, i dont know about the rancher, but the t-4 pipe and dunojet stage 2 jetkit really woke up my raptor.
the T-4 has a nice bark to it. not obnouxiously loud, just an agressive bark. you can get a quiet core to install in the t-4 as well.

i put the t 4 pipe on my quad. i didnt get the whole pipe , but i did grind down the welds inside the exhaust pipe. The pipe makes a nice noticable difference. I had in the bast white brothers pipes, e series and r series, i like the t4 the best . has a nice sound and runs good.

I have a T-4 slip-on on my 400 EX, and it is pretty loud, but it REALLY SOUNDS GOOD!!! Sounds a lot better than those disc systems. If you get the quiet core because it is too loud, you are still out of luck!! If you put the quiet core in, and put the turn-down end cap on, the exhaust cackles inside the end cap, and makes it just as loud as if it had nothing in it, and sounds like crap. The solution I found to work very well is to find a washer about 1/16 inch smaller diameter than the outside of the standard end cap. Make sure it has a hole that is only marginally bigger than the hole in the quiet core. drill 3 holes in outside of the washer, in same location as standard end cap. bolt up your new end cap and enjoy your ability to sneak up on deer and such with your now quiet T-4. I am going to experiment with bigger holes in the washer, and not using the quiet core, just the regular spark arrestor. In fact, why don't you save yourself $26.99 and don't even get the quiet core. All it is is a spark arrester with a washer welded inside it. I think the hole is close to 1/2 inch. An added side bonus with this method is increased low-end, something the standard T-4 lacks. Hope this helps!! when I get around to it I am going to post this on my webpage...If I ever get time...I like to ride too much!!!

hey bad400ex01
Can you send some pictures of the washer and where to drill and the dimensionsof the washer? I just got a complete system and it is too loud for me and i was going to buy the quiet core, but i thought i'd try your idea first. Thanks
