its so hard to decide!! :(
i have been trying to decide on a quad for weeks. everytime i think i find one i want, i end up reading about others and cant decide once again. im allowed to buy on on june 1 so i have plenty of time to read and compair atvs. well now i am seriously considering a honda rincon. i am going to use it 96% riding on trails. im most likely not going to be doing any work at all unless i plow snow in the winter. for anyone who owns one, are they good, reliable quads and good trail riders?

befor considering a rincon go to the forums and look at the problems first im a die hard honda guy and i just bought a 2003 rubicon and have had nothing but problems because the rubicon and rincon both run everything and i mean everything with a computer there the only quad on the market that give you fault codes i have had 1900 in work done to mine in 360 miles been to the shop 4 times in six moths for major ELECTRICAL problems you cant pressure wash them per honda because you will force water into the plugs and cause comp. problems if you do get the rincon invest in the extended warr. and buy some electrical spay from napa that seals the wires up and the plugs up so you dont have water poblems its called battery and ignition spray from balkamp fixed alot of problems on mine happy trails....

dashrat, I don't think the Honda's are the only bike that will give you an errpr code the Ploaris SP700 will too. I am in the same boat and thinking about buying a Rincon at the same time, around June. It is very hard to decide what to get when you are paying upwards of $13,000 CDN for a bike and some new tires. I have heard that the Rincon tires are good only for trail riding and if you are looking at going off road to get some new skins. I have heard of one transmission problem (something with the linkage?? just hearsay) another problem with an A arm breaking under normal trail riding with stock tires ?? (just hearsay again). One dealer told me that the only problem with the Rincon in Canada compared to the US was that the bike was not proven in the Canadian climate yet. This is a very good point we have very different conditions up here (Northern Alberta) than most of the writers in form from the US. With all said and done I think I will ride both the SP700 and the Rincon and go from there. If you search for Rincon in forms and read what is said it is a help. My posts as PE101 are mostly about the Rincon and there has been some good feedback. Again it is hard to decide but you should have a look at the rincon with some accessories it is very sharp. If looks are important, which I think does play a part in any big ticket item. Good luck and if you find any really good information please let me know.
Good luck
