Default air filter

i would like to know if theres an air filter out there for my 400ex
i ride in the sand pits and in the bush trails, i was riding without my air box cover but i dont like doing that because of the little bit of mud i go true its not much but.... i like the power i get without the cover.
is there something i could do to my air box so that i could ride without the cover so mud will not go in

i hear that if you put pantyhoes over your air box cover it stops the mud from going in but the water is a different story please help me out!!

i hear you can drill loads of small holes in the cover, and that should stop the mud from getting in i guess

You can drill holes in the airbox lid and if you ever need to cover them duct tape works perfectly. I think everyone will agree(that being said I am sure someone will disagree) K&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK& NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK &NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&N K&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK& NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&NK&N With an Outerwears prefilter.

are you sure that the water will not go in to the air filter with the outerwear?

That is where you need to use the duct tape. It is only recommended for dry areas.

You can buy a kit with 6 1" foam inserts. Drill a hole in the lid, and glue them in. Run those and a K&N, or a Uni filter, and you will get a lot better flow.
