will a 295 big bore overheat?
I am thinking of taking my stock cylinder out to a 295 with an LA Sleeve kit but someone mentioned that when you do this to a stock cylinder it is prone to overheating. Is this true? And I don't have the money for a Pro-X cylinder so this seems to be my only option for big bore.
Thanks,
JP

will a 295 big bore overheat?
I bought a stock (new) 89 cylinder and had a 295 LA sleeve installed and had the stadium porting done to it then even before i installed it on my 86 R i had my local mech port it even more for MX and it pulls great. The 1st time out i pulled the whole shot by like 6 quad lenghts . I have not overheat in the slightest yet but have not raced in the late summer heat either. I do run a larger (88-89) radiator and when we race we rune like 5 laps at around 2 to 3 min a lap on the longest track. I thought of getting and ESR 330 kit but my money said to go the way i went and right now both me and my wallet are happier. I guess it will depend on your type of riding you will be doing, just keep a close eye on it and run like 50/50 water to anti freeze and keep good oil in it. Good Luck
