Weight also plays a large factor in the race. My neighbor owns a 440, and a built one at that. When I race it with the 6th grade boy who weighs 91lbs soaking wet (and yes we weighed him), he pulls me by about a bike length. Now when you put his fata$$ dad on there who weighs a good 250, it isn't even close I blow him away. I weigh 180, so the difference between me and the kid is 90lbs, which is about the weight difference between a DS650's and Z400's dry weight

Raptoraz is right on the money my two brothers both have 400ex and they rip all over ltzs. One 400ex has a wb pipe, k/n,and rev box and he was beating any piped ltz or piped predator in a 100yd race up hill and he weighs 300lbs. The other 400ex has a 416, stage3 cam, big gun,and 39mm carb with k/n and he walks all over ltzs and predators and most raptors.

I have a 440 with 12-1 comp, mild port and polish with full exhaust and smoked a z last weekend(drag). Did fairly decent against piped 250r too. The r would pull ahead when hitting 4th gear(about 3 bike lengths) then the gap would stay constant until top gear. He was a couple mph's faster there. Hes 70 pounds lighter also. I'm going to put my wb rev box and see where I'm at saturday with him.

So let me get this straight....your 300lb brother on a piped EX was beating piped Z's and piped Predators??? Dude wake up. I can understand bored EX's maybe, but a stock bore with a 300lb guy on it?? Somethin doesn't sound right to me ......oh and by the way we are not talkin Z250's and predator 90's.

Why would I make **** up. I own a z400 a 400ex, my brother has a 400ex stock, a 440, a 250r and we race them all the time. Come watch if you want.

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about, I have had the race you haven't.</FONT>

Too bad you weren't at Buttercup this weekend. I couldn't smoked your Z along with the 3 others that I crushed. However I did lose to one. But he had a Yoshimura 450 kit and Yoshi cams. He did go down shortly after that though. After I went back to camp and got my Rappy.

I beat a couple of piped Raptors on my EX as well this weekend. There's a big difference in Raptor performance between just being piped, and being properly jetted and piped. A gutted airbox and BIG jets make 'em run hard. I only lost to a couple of other Raptors on mine and most of those races were because of a big difference in weight. Me 240lbs, them "maybe" 160lbs.
