please help 250R motors

Default please help 250R motors

My friend needs help on motors he needs engine serial numbers from a 1985 ATC 250R and 1986 ATC 250R and 1986-1989 TRX 250R he has 5 motors and would like some numbers he is planning on selling them cheap they all run but needs numbers to spec what model they came from Please help if you want one post a replie and I will hook you up first I need numbers so he know what is what and what you want if you want one he says he needs mostly the TRX we check out MacDizzy but he has no ATC numbers and 2 motors have different numbers I dont know if he messed up on the numbers one motor has the same numbers has a 87 but in a different order maybe some body out there can help he is begging

whoah, slow down. Do you mean you need to know what the numbers mean, or do you need legitamite numbers off from someone elses quad? I dont quite understand.

I need the engine serial numbers it is stamp on the lower left hand surface of the crank case behind the alternator it is a metal plate with numbers on it each year is different with numbers on top of the plate are TBO6E then the number you have to look close those are always the same I will give an example TB06E-8008424 that is one of the motors wich I don't know what yr

sounds like somebody's got some "hot" bike parts and needs serial numbers

Okay now there is numbers on the motors he got them from da dealer that closed down he just wants to know what year did the motor come from are TRX motors or are they ATC serial numbers engine they are all the same each year as different numbers they are not hot he is just asking for engine numbers which is a long rod which is a short rod if I was going to buy one I would like to know what year is was each year they got better and better and if you needed parts you would like to know the year would you.

Sorry, I should have read more closely at your original post. The macdizzy info is what I sent you but you are looking for the ATC numbers which that site does not have info on, sorry!!
