Blew up
#1
I just made a shock bracket for my 300ex so I can use stock shocks with my 250R a-arm's, It took me all day I got a seat cover... Man it looks good, first ride out I hear a BAM. The rod broke in half and smashed through my balancer housing and out the front of the cases, it made about a 3" hole all the way around. Well I'm so sick of working on this thing it's the second time it's blown up, last time it dropped a valve and bent my crank/ rod and smashed my head. I have put so much money in this thing it's stupid.. YES I maintain my things like crazy, I'm really appreciating my Mojave at this point all it's givin me is a loose fastner or 2. The bottom-end it trashed, PERIOD. The rod broke the bottom off my sleeve ans piston when it went. I can't decide what to do I know I'm not rebuilding the present motor, hopefully I can find a used one and swap, then sell to sombody far away. I was so mad I did a half mile burnout in my truck and that really helped me out.

I like your stress relief! Smoke'em!!!
Sorry to hear about your trouble. I rebuilt the whole swing arm on mine this spring. Next is the front end. Then maybe the engine this winter. You know.....This is the womans quad. I wish she would buy a new one.

That REALLY sucks!!
Those half-mile burnouts really help.
My stress relief is to just hammer down on my 400 until the T-4 makes it all better
Or if it's just too muddy/cold to ride, I usually go out to the barn and beat on a hopeless piece of metal with the biggest hammer I can find. That REALLY helps.
as far as the quad, do what my brother did with his POS KX 125 he blew up, he fixed the motor, then pushed it out to the road, with a for sale sign on it. He started it for all of about 1 minute after he rebuilt it.

I'm going to get a used motor, IF I don't it's worth about 500 bucks not running and if I parted it out I would make 1000 MAX. So I spend a grand on a motor I can sell it for 2000 more than I could without. I'll have to wait a while and save up a grand or 2.
OHH my other stress reliever is to hit this old truck bed with an ax, and if you can puncture it with the ax that's really good.
