Flipped my brand new Rancher...

Seriously fellows does sound like the Rancher does need some more weight up front did any of you have a winch on or heavier tires??? I have rode the foremans and they all have good weight distribution on the front and believe me I do know what I am talking about on this one the Sportsman is one of the lightest in the front of any bike, I have added a bumper have a winch on the way and hopefully some better tread and heavier tires...I would like to see some of the stuff you guys are flipping these on I know that photos are 1 dimensions but I think it would be interesting to see...maybe somebody will start a web page and call it steep stuff now that would be interesting...Oh yes BigBear glad you didn't get hurt anymore than you did you can always repair the 4 wheeler and your pride but bones and skin take a little bit longer, good you were wearing your helmet I need to wear one but don't maybe I will get one of those little beenys in the future it will be better than nothing...

hhonda, How do you know if: 1. I know what i'm doing, 2. I'm a hardcore atv'r? And my name is still BigBear4X471 because I didin't feel the need to change it. Here are a few facts about me and my riding skills, I've been riding since I was 12, I'm 20 now, and I ride my quad every day, unless its raining. Before you judge me, and my riding skills, maybe you should ask me about them first. Enough on that, my Rancher is bone stock. I'm planning on adding a Warn winch pretty soon, but I don't have it yet. Thanks everyone for replying with your care, concern, and youw own quad wreck stories. I appreciate it. Now, its time to gas up the Rancher and clock up some more hours. I took off the front rack and I got the wheel back on the rim so I should be good for riding now. If anyone else is riding, have a ton of fun, and wear your helmet, it saved my life this time for sure!!

There ARE some hills that ARE too steep. The loose nut behind the handlebars should be able to judge that. Those with more experience should have better judgement.
There ARE places a tank will not go.
Ya'll be careful out there, ya' hear!

My freind did that to a new bike .He reported it stolen and bought the same bike again and has the other stashed away for parts when he needs them in the future.Once it reported stolen you can never take a chance of riding it again and do not try to sell it or it's game over.

Well, I have had a quad land on me a time or two and I can say, if it flipped, you shouldn't have gone up it. Now, I don't practice what I preach cause thats part of the challenge. Ranchers are plenty heavy in the front. I prefer to back up the steep hills. It is more fun.
