400ex air cooled ??

Default 400ex air cooled ??

i find this hard to believe since all the other sports quads like yamahas are liqide cooled. has any one had a problem with there 400ex over heating or other problems becuase of it. i am selling my cr125 this week and putting a down payment on a 2003.

Default 400ex air cooled ??

If you keep your quad stock, overheating will not be a problem. It becomes a problem when you start to build your motor. Make sure to always check your oil. That's your first defense against over heating. I have a 440 kit on mine and it does run hot even with the larger oil tank. Compared to a CR125, a 400ex is a much more reliable bike.

You shouldn't have a problem. If you go at slow speeds for a while it will start to heat up though.
