Default Pro-Circut pipe to loud????-Help!

I have a 2003 400ex, with a PC T-4 silencer. I went to a local place called Hollister Hills here in CA, I was sound tested and it came out at 103db!!!! This pipe is only 2 weeks old. I know that I can get a quiet insert but here in CA you need to be at 96db to legally ride in state parks. What can I do to make this thing quiet? I read in an on-line test that this silencer was only 95db, whats the deal? Any help or suggestions would be very helpful.

I got the same pipe and it loud, but 103 db, i didn't think it was that loud. You could try the quiet core insert and mabey some different brand of packing but i don't know how much it'll quiet it down

I realize it seems high, but I was staring at the read out in the rangers hand! Luckily I brought my stock silencer and was able to put that on so I could still ride. But then my jetting was screwed up......blah....blah..blah. It would be nice to be able to either quiet the t4 down or I might have to get the quick silver carb so changing the jetting will be a little easier. Or maybe even find a combination of jets that will work well with both a stock silencer for the trips to state parks and the t4 for ridding on private land? Any thoughts?

Try a dynojet kit, you just adjust the mixture screw and needle once and then whenever u change pipes u just change the main jet.
