Well after two months of fun from mud, sand dunes, and dirt. Good jumps, bad jumps, rear brake wheelies down the street. I finally joined the crash club. And made two installments none the less. I normally ride on medium woods, trails, and jumps. My buddies had not shown up so I partnered up with two other guys on 400EX's. These guys were insane red neck kids 17-20. They wad no safety gear, goggles or gloves and went full throttle every where. My first crash was a lean over. The terrain is very rock based. I was going up a 60' steep hill and was to the top when the front end bounced into a crevice, so not wanting to roll down backwards I tried to land well but tipped to the left side and bent the clutch lever forward and hit my elbow good. Then an hour later they mountain goated up a 100' small boulder and crevice infested road up a steep hill. I made it half way up then lost my speed trying to traverse a crevice. So the rear end settled in the crevice and once again the bike tipped over on the left side but this time I had to jump off and ran down the hill. It looked funny I bet because I hit the groung runnning, either that or I had to start rolling. The quad made 3/4 rotation before settling on a plateau I let one of the other guys ride it up. All that was hurt was the clutch lever, plastic scratches, bruised elbow, grips torn, pride, the machine is tough... I have the Renthal bars and they did great. I don't think I will continue to mountain goat the 400EX the front end is too light and bouncing between 1st and second in the midddle of a huge crack is not fun. I will stick to jumping doubles, blasting whoopty doo's, burning berms. And maybe woods trails, but no more rock climbing. It even chews up my aluminum skid plates. Sorry so long guys...

Your lucky you have learned your lesson. I happen to be a slow learner. I have bent a steering stem the last two weeks in a row due to "Billy Goating". I ride for an hour and work on my bike the rest of the day.
