Sport 400 vs 400ex, the results
#1
The race finally took place, I went ahead and added my white brothers slip on and changed the main jet to 160 with no airbox lid. We matched up and raced, it was impossible for me to start in 1st gear, I practically sit on the handlebars and couldnt keep the front ent down, he got me off the line and pulled away in midrange, then I started catching up in top end but he took me by two lengths, The next race I removed my airbox cover and started in second gear, this was the trick, I hole shotted him and never looked back the 400ex won by two lengths, then we switched riders same results. I was impressed with the polaris but it didnt last after about an hour of racing it was overheating so he loaded it up and left.
Next race was a modified banshee, the 400ex was awesome I stayed with him through all five gears side by side then he got away from me but it was still close I was having a blast of course the banshee man said he had a fouled plug, I still stayed with him, lookin for a stock banshee now.

I've been waiting to see what happened!Did you check to see if you were getting full throttle before you raced? Your original post started a little bit of a rumble between the Polaris & Honda riders.

I have been waiting too here back on that race nice job.
I am a polarise owner 500 scrambler I am glad to see you post without bashing and telling the truth as it happened And as you said you were impressed with it.
The polarise 400 is pretty quick when tweaked properly and stock for that matter.
but you beat him fair and square so Congrates to you.
I am goin to race a 400ex myself I know i will probley get beat but I do it for fun not to bash other peoples rides. the 400ex is a nice bike I like them but would not change my ride for one personal choice.
ride safe
P.S I am the only polarise owner of our group that ride about 30 ( all honda owners) I like being the odd ball and have converted a few that thought polarise was junk to actually liking them they all enjoy riding my bike
