I'm very new to the ATV scene but have my eye on the Yamaha Bear Tracker and the Honda Recon. I'm very undecided as to which one to buy at this point. They both look good to me.
Does anyone out there have an opinion on these 2 rides that may help me make a wise choice? I will be purchasing one within the next 2 weeks so any input would be appreciated.

 

I read a article in 3&4 wheel off road and i rember the honda won by far... the only thing the yamaha had better was bigger racks and more agressive look... but the honda has much better power and handleing

I can only speak for the recon but I have been very pleased with its performance. It had all the features I was looking for (4 stroke, auto start, reverse, good handling/suspension, decent power and affordable-$3800). If you do get the recon you wont be disappointed.

 

I have ridden the Yamaha Beartracker and it seems to be a well built reliable quad. But it is slow and seems to lack alot of low end torque to pull heavy loads and climb hills. I havent had a chance to ride a Recon though but I assume that it would have more power.

hey bgarre you made a good chose i heard they are grait atv's and iv'e drove one and they are alote of fune and pluny of power fore that little of an atv. hey by the way tell me what you really think
