Winch on a sport?

Why not? You might have to make your own mounting plate but it could be done. The added weight would take away from the sporty feel.

 

how much do winchs usually weigh (1500 winch)

 

The winch would be between 20 to 25 lbs. The mounting plate and roller fairlead would add even more. I'm not sure how much they weigh.

 

I guess the lighter winches can weigh around 12 or 13 lbs.

I had a 2000lb winch on my Recon. (rear wheel drive) It made it handle different. It also made it harder to get the front up to go over trees. It just wasn't as much fun. Have you considered an "atv ratchet winch". Cabelas carries them for about $59.99.
