They are going to double the areas that we can't use. They are walking on very thin ice about some of the things they are trying to set. We need to step up and be heard or we are going to loose more in the future. It won't be long before the BLM and forest servise jumps in and starts with the bans too! Get to a meeting and let them hear what you have to say. I stay on trails and roads all the time, but now they are banning the use of the trails during hunting if a normal size car can't travel on it. People don't set back and let them get away with this, tell them to do their job and stop getting into areas that they really don't have a say in! Olgrizz

You won't see them blaming the reintroduction of wolves into our great state-but they will blame the ATVers for loss of wildlife! I believe that most riders stay on marked trails and roads, new and more closures are not going to stop the people who don't go by the rules in the first place.

This whole stinking thing is due to idiot appointments by Bill Clinton who was loyal to the idiot enviro wackos. These policies aren't about the wildlife they are pure politics. The agenda of the left is to end the way of life of people who enjoy the outdoors and are independant. Independant people are a threat to there socialist dreams. Anyone who has a brain knows that a responsibly managed and thinned Forest is a healthy forrest. Over Grown forrests full of deadfall are not healthy and the animals don't preffer that enviroment. Spend time hunting you won't find the game animals in the overgrown areas they are in thinner areas of the forrest were the young trees and healthy plants are. I refuse to believe that it is really about the enviroment.

You are right, money and politics is what make the world go round The fish and game need to manage the animals, not the land, that is what the forest servise, State of Idaho and BLM is for. They need to enforce what rules we already have! Bottom line too many people for the game animls we have, stop selling so many tags and permits. Sad to say but in future we may not all get to hunt every year
A lot of the hunters are jumping on the band wagon with them, what they don't understand is after the ATV's it will be something else, read in the paper today someone wanting to ban trapping. Idaho is one of the few states that allows bait for bear, lets ban that next. Lets just let them ban us from the use of public lands then we won't have to worry about it anymore Olgrizz

They are also cutting back on the trails in Minneasota. There are more tree huggers then there are atv riders. All we can do is protest and join atv groups that get involved in politicial side of riding. We also have to inprove our imagine to the public. I just got off of my butt and started to write some e-mails to some politicians and to my suprise I have gotten replys. If we all did that they would know that we are alive and vote. Good luck in your state.

Your right about making our presence know and felt. There are more than 8million atv out there in use. If we all made enough noise the politicians would find an easier target. The groups against us count on the uninformed pubic mostly from the cities (read people with no interest at all in what really goes on in the woods, they never venture far from crowds of people anyhow. They just chock it up to a feel good I helped save the world) If the politicians heard from more of us and we got our act together to really fight, they would pay attention. We spend a huge amount of money on our toys and then the added impact on economies of the areas were we buy fuel food lodging etc. Multy Billions of dollars, but to many sit back and let just a few fight the battles. The politicians know this they don't want to fight the groups that get it together because it costs them votes. If you haven't joined a group you should the price of filling your truck once with fuel from every owner would equal a big fund for the groups fighting against this crap. Thats all it will take to make them back off some. I write emails and send letters even show up to meetings kind of fun to torment the enviro wackos. Now if they would just let me hunt them even with less than leathal weapons I would agree to shoot less game.

Very well said!!

I was beginning to think that no one else was seeing the "big picture" and its great to know others are not being fooled by all the political BS and propaganda.
