Default NEED HELP- WHICH PLOW FOR BF-750???

Hi Guys.........I need some help from those of you that have plows. I want to get a plow for my Brute Force 750, and want to know your opinions on which one is best. I'm especially looking for one that can be attached and taken off quickly and easily because I do alot of trail riding. Also, how much ground clearance do you loose with the mounting plates installed??? I've heard that glacier plows are pretty good and are easy to attach and detach. Please let me know your opinions!

Default NEED HELP- WHICH PLOW FOR BF-750???

I have no idea what plow I have, I got the one from Arctic Cat when I got the ATV. I can take it on and off in 15 seconds, and I loose about 1" of ground clearance with the mounting plates. It is not that bad though, as their are only two parts of the mounting plate, one on each side of the ATV; so for mudding you will never notice it. I paid $344.

If you will be mainly pushing snow get a plastic blade, the snow won't stick to it then and they are super durrable. My dad has the same plow as me and his is 5 years old and looks like new. If you will be pushing a lot of dirt around, maybe then check out the steel blades.

I recommend a 60" blade. ANything less when angled won't be wide enough and your tires will be driving over the snow you are trying to plow. Also, I don't know if you have a winch or not, but they work GREAT for raising and lowering the plow. I have the switch located right by my left thumb and while I push the snow I can raise and lower it without stopping.

ATV's work great for plowing, you can easily get 6+ feet high snowbanks!!! It is a lot of fun, good luck!!!

Default NEED HELP- WHICH PLOW FOR BF-750???

Just got a 60" Eagle plow by American Manufacturing from Shadetree Powersports for around $420. It has a 2 piece mount that works well. Takes only seconds to unhook the plow and leave the complete mount on the bike or only about a minute to loosen 4 nuts and remove the lower part of the mount leaving the upper half of the mount to serve as a heavy duty skid plate. With both mount plates in place I suppose you lose a couple inches or so of clearance but with the lower part removed you lose none at all. It's a great system that is very well built and finished and stands up pushing tons of gravel even better than I expected it would. Have'nt pushed any snow with it yet but it won't be long now.

By the way. Shadtree was great to deal with. They're about 350 miles from me but even so, I ordered by phone about 11:00 a.m. on a Tuesday and recieved shipment noon Wednesday which was just their regular ground shipping. They also use FedX and not brown.

I just got a 50" Moose plow for my BF750. Seems to be very well made. I bought the narrower blade because I will be doing a lot of sidewalks and tilted, the plow fits perfectly. Cant wait for snow!!!
