Husqvarna AB 30-06 US Ser#107232, looking for any info on this as to age model etc. I swapped it for a 74 Dodge pick up that has not been on the road for 14 years, prob only worth $2-300 cdn so I like to think I got a good deal. Very plain looking, drilled for scope mounts, and sling swivels are missing. Wood has been finished fairly nicely, barrel needs to be blued, but is polished and ready, inside of barrel is good with no pitting. Let me know what you think of it, what its worth perchance, and if anybody has some sling swivels and/or scope mounts that would fit this let me know, maybe we could work something out

Husqvarna makes good guns like anything else they produce. It's not pretty, but I'm guessing it's better than the old Dodge was, even when the Dodge was new..lol

As to age, you can probably contact Husqvarna via email and they can tell you when it was built. I did the same with an old Winchester I got from my Dad.

Might not be a bad idea to get it looked over by a decent gunsmith, they can check the headspace and give you a better idea of what kind of quality cannon you've got there.

Happy shooting

It looks like someone tried to refinish the stock and left some of the hardware off. Is there a model or series number on it?

Nothing more on it than as above post. Near as I can tell by comparing serial numbers it is near 1950 vintage, not sure on the model yet, I think a variation of the 640 series, but then again maybe 1600 series. Got a request in at a Swedish gun site, from the looks of things, knowledgable folks there so I will prob have my answers soon.

It's hard to see the complete gun in the pictures. It looks like a Husqvarna 1950 Hi-Power Sporting Rifle. Made between 1946 - 1951. Maybe a Husq 1951 Hi-Power? I'll guess that the price would be between $350. to $400. US money. It really depends if the gun is in good shape.

Got the following from the swedish gun site
Your rifle is one of the model 648 family, made in 1949. It uses the FN commercial mauser model 98 action. Looks like the stock may not be original.
Nice to know stuff anyway............
