Default New Rifle

Just went on down to Allegheny Trade today and put myself a Marlin model 336A 30/30 with scope on layaway. Horray me!! It'll be about three weeks 'till I bring it home, but that's not too bad. Not a bad price either, $258.34 all together. Now I just gotta have the patience to work another three weeks to get it. LOL

You have to hate that wait. What kind of glass did you get for it?

I can't remeber, but me and Cobra are going down to look about a pistol today so I'll take a look then.

If I remember correctly it was a Tasco 3-9 x 40.

Congrats on the purchase Ginnis!

Now I just gotta get my pistol. We'll have to do some shooting then.

Yeah it was. Thank you, sir!! Even if you don't sell it, in three weeks I'm going up to shoot, so if you wanna come, just bring the good 'ole .22. We'll still have fun.

Should do fine with the 30-30. That going to be your deer rifle? Should be just the ticket for whacking deer in the woods.

Yeah it'll be for deer. Plus it's a good brush gun and that's what's what all around my stand. It's killin' me having to wait three weeks though. LOL I just wanna fast forward to three Saturdays from now....

Well, looks like I may have jumped the gun. (no pun intended) Apparently, no one I know thinks that a 30/30 is the right gun for me to get. They say it doesn't have a distant enough shot and so on and so forth. So, my brother is taking me around on Saturday to look at some other options. I dunno what he has in mind, but when it comes to rifles, he knows way more than I do. I'll keep ya updated though. As if you care though right?? Haha

Have you checked out the new ammo from hornaday i think it is. I will check and get back to you. It is made for 30 30's. It is to get you better range out of the gun for hunting and such. I will get you a link for it.
