Camo Tape? does this work or what?
#1
Hey guys hows it goin? I got a deal on a old 1985 Suzuki quadrunner 250 that i am planning on buying for hunting, but the plastics are a ugly orange and I heard about this camo tape that you can put on your plastics, so i was figuring to do put that on, has any one done this on there quad? how does it look? does it peel off after you drive threw water? do scratches show/tear the tape off? basicly i just want to know what you guys think of it.
Thanks and have a good one,
David C.

A Man in our hunting lease has it on his old Suzuki 250 and it hasnt shown signs of coming off yet but also he doesnt mud ride or anything on it just to the deer stand and such, its like a cloth like tape or his is anyway. I know his has been on there atleast 3 or 4 years.... so probably not a bad little investment.

I just did this to my 86 trx200sx and I must say it looks way way better than the faded scratched beat to crap plasitc that it is covering. It is a little red neck but it looks good. Now to cover that stock blue seat...

I will try to post some pics. Still waiting for my seat cover. I do know that it looks way better though. Everyone that saw it never took it for tape so that is a good thing. Plus once you get a coat o' mud on it...

Very nice! how hard was it to keep the wrinkles out and how hard was it to match the seems up? thats what concerns me... also where is the best place to get this tap?

It took awhile to install. I did get most all the wrinkles out but it was tough. This stuff is made by 3M and I think its going to last awhile. It blends real good so when you lap it its hard to see where you did it at. I got my kit of ebay and you can also go to www.camoclad.com and get it.

Hey Guys
I just got back from deer hunting and during that time I snapped a pic of my quad with the camo tape.

All in all it looks ok to me and certainly better than the faded scratched plastic.
