I just put one on my 2001 Sportsman 500 H.O last week and built a 3" drop hitch for a 1 7/8" ball to pull a dump trailer and I love the setup. Is a little noisy if you have a hitch bar in and not pulling anything. My receiver bolted to my existing hitch using a counter sunk pan head screw through the bottom of the receiver and then two stabilizer bars that bolted to the receiver and fit inside two channels on my hitch. As far as I am concerned, it could not have worked any better.

I just ordered one for the Kodiak from Cabela's. It came in the mail today and I've been so preoccupied with the attack that I did'nt even feel like messing with it. I'll let you know how it works as soon as I get it mounted. Meanwhile I've been sitting here watching Foxnews pretty much all day. I'm sad and mad. Ellenwoodie, I got my HitchHopper bolted on. Went on easily and seems to be heavy and well made. The corner welds are quality. To be honest, I have not pulled anything with it yet but I think it will be fine. I also ordered a Warn reciever clevis block so that I could have a removable tow-point for trail riding (the shackle is real nice-very heavy). I posted a picture - just click on my "Doghouse" photo link below. BTW-on my Kodiak the HitchHopper mounted on the same spot as the stock tow bracket and required it to be removed. Good luck and God bless America!!

Thanx for your imput. I enjoyed the pictures. Do you think the
hitch would support a cargo carrier like you see on the back of pickups and autos with a deer in it? Besides Hondas I like John Deere also. Amen on America!

I have a 2" reciever on my traxter xt,works fine with a drop ball for my 60" mower. The suspension is such that it will not handle the hitch type carrier you speak of.The rear end housing is where I welded the 2" reciever as the traxter has no where else to put it.

Tek-you welded the hitch directly onto the axle housing? Sounds like a good setup.
