I have a 2002 Big Bear 4x4, and i was wondering if anyone has ever had a gun rack on it that all that you have to do is set your gun on it, i have saw them in hunting magazines but wondered if anyone has ever made one, if so how did you make one, this one has me stumped

I have never been pleased with any of the guns racks myself. Not matter where you put them, your gun still seems to take a beating. I simply carry my rifle across my chest using the sling. However, I understand doing so is illegal in some states.

Myself I use a gun rack that mounts to the front rack of my buggy. Depending on which gun I have on the rack and where I'm going with it I have had mud and even branches rub on the gun. Personally I prefer the rack type over the gun boot. The boot will however keep the gun dry and out of harm. With the type of small game and water fowl I hunt I find it faster to get off the bike and chase game birds if neccessary.

I've used the gun racks that leave you gun out in the open (hanldebar or rack mount).

They are crap. The ONLY way to go is the Kolpin. Keeps your gun clean, it's padded, and I won't use anything else.

You might check out www.tamarackatv.com they have a good looking gun case and mount design. Hope this helps.
