Default New guy and his son

Howdy! Well I dont have an ATV myself right now. The only thing im riding is my 07 Harley bagger but my sons been ridin since he was 3. I bought him a Kazuma 90 for his 3rd christmas. He has been an incredible rider. Havent really had to coach him at all. He started out going very slow and stopping every 30-50 feet. He did that for the first month (all on his own). You could just see he was learning his machine and so I left him alone. He started going faster and faster til we removed the throttle screw. He rides very hard and Im proud to say has never "bit it". I was actually wishing he would have mean ol' Mr. Gravity before he got going so fast but it didnt happen.
Well for his 7th birthday I wanted to get him a Can Am DS90X but couldnt find one within 200 miles of the house so was told to get him a Polaris Outlaw90. He loves it! There are certain things I dont care for about (drum brakes mostly)it but it will do for now.
Im hoping to get alot of good onfo and meet some new friends that someday we can ride with. My wife and I are probably going to buy a big 2 up wheeler to ride with him now. We're thinkin about going to the Hatfield McCoy trail next year for vacation.

Welcome to the forums.

Sounds like he has a great time. The drum brakes really are kind of a pain, just be sure to keep an eye on them if you get into any mud. They have a tendency to collect it, and the brake won't work.

Welcome to the forums. Arctic Cat, CanAm, and Polaris all have good 2-up machines. If you are looking for comfort for the passenger don't go the Polaris Sportsman X2 route. The Touring is much more comfortable for the passenger.
