Default Can I do this?

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read my very first post and any help would be appreciated! I am thinking about buying a 2009 Honda TRX 420 Rancher. It is 80.9" long. I drive a 2007 Ford F-150 and the bed is 67"long. Can I load this in my truck and have the tailgait down and will the tailgate withstand the weight? Thanks

It should be able to withstand the weight whether it has flat metal straps or cables. I would recommend checking them if they are cables for any bulges that might mean rust. Other than that the cables are very sturdy and should be able to hold your quad on the tailgate. Use lots of straps and be careful.

Welcome to the forums.

Like Moose said, keep an eye on the straps/cables and you'll be fine.

if you drive it in the truck most of the weight will be up front so it shouldnt be an issue on the tail gate as long as the cables are in good shape. keep an eye on what there bolted to as they might bend as the newer trucks metal isnt as storng as they used to be. imo.
