Default Hello!

I've been lurking around here for a little while but I've never introduced myself. My name is Alex. I have a broke down 2002 Polaris Trail Boss and a 1985 Yamaha Big Wheel 200. Just thought I would say hello.

Welcome to the forums.

Hopefully we can help you get that trail boss back up and running. Had an 01 myself. Think I could take most of it apart in my sleep. It's the putting stuff back together again that always threw me off.

This is probably not the right place to start with this. The problem with the polaris is in the wiring under the front cover. My buddy flipped on the road it on a snowy day. It will sputter and hesitate when you try to give it throttle. I had most of the cosmetic damage repaired. It did run fine after the crash but it sat for a while before i got to dig into it. My neighbor owns an engine shop so I know he is knowledgable with what we looked at but not with electrical. We took the carb off- cleaned it, checked the vacumn lines- they seemed ok,checked the fuel pump-it works, and replaced fuel filter. I eventually noticed if you wiggle around the strand of wires in the front under the pop off cover that it will run fine. I can ride for a while but something in the wires comes loose. I don't know if something is not making good contact or what. It looks like a hundred wires in there! If you guys know anything, I would really appreciate the help! Thanks! Sorry for such a long post.

Well guys I found out earlier that the polaris is sold. It was my first four-wheeler. I'm gonna miss her even though i didn't get to ride it much in the last 3 years. I may be using the money from it to get a 1992 honda 250x. It has a freshly rebuilt motor. It has new rear tires but needs new front tires. The plastic has a big crack in it but my neighbor said he has a replacement plastic piece that he would throw in with it.
