Hi all in the forum, just signing into the forum as a new owner of an older ATV (2004 Kawasaki Prarie 700 4X4) it got a few issues that need taking care of, and not to let anyone think otherwise I am mechanically inclined, having been a professional mechanic most of my working career. I am now retired (medically) as I have problem kidneys, and require dialysis 3 days a week on Tues, Thurs, & Sat so whats the point in working with that schedule. Anyway now I have time for my hobbies, automotive restoration / repair,(my personal vehicles now), hunting, camping, and other, similar outdoor activities, amateur radio, photography, and woodworking to name a few. And, not to forget adding ATV'ing to the list as now I've been bitten by the ATV bug...I used to snowmobile when I was in my teens, and that was a blast having been bitten by that bug, but now ATV'ing is similar, but so much more fun and versatile not being stuck to riding only on snow! Now I can trail ride almost anywhere, at any time; provided there are trails to ride. Trails are seemingly something hard to find in New York...at least hear in North Eastern NY in the Clinton and Franklin counties area. You are mostly stuck to riding on private land after securing permission, if one can secure permission!![Huh](https://atvconnection.com/forums/images/smilies/huh.gif)
Anyway, I'm here, and will try to attack all the issues and questions I have on the subject of ATV's and ATV'ing as I have a few more than a couple...LOL!
Oh, and BTW just call me Jim...

Welcome to the 4 wheeling club! Being from Montreal I've been through and around Peru several times over the years, not sure about atv trails but there are some great roads in your neck of the woods for sports cars! LOL
In any case I think there are trails not far from you as I looked two years ago about heading south and did find some info but never ended up going down in the end. Hang in there and I'm sure someone will chime in with better info than I can give you.
