well i just recently moved to millersburg p.a from sharon s.c... i owned a 05 raptor 660 then sold an purchased a o8 450 yfzR.. my newest toy is a 83 honda 250r.. ( wich i love) i just got it back from the shop doing some motor work on it. i am a freak for speed so every thing i own must go fast. i dont own the yfz any more but am looking to purchasing another quad. just cant make my mind up between the yfz again or the 450r? open to any suggestion

welcome to the forum I think I'm about 45min. away from you. it all depends how much money you want to spend. the new 450r's are nice but pretty much need a programmer, pipe, and filter with lid off from factory to keep up. with an old carb modle can use the stock cams you already have instead of buy an older intake cam. to do the cam mod. in short can get more cheap power out of a yfz, to be honest my buddy has an 09 yfzr its fast but with the zip tie mod on mine the throttle responce isn't much diffrent he has a programmer, pipe and i think an fci and he can't pull me till 5th but he also has a 15 tooth front to my 14 tooth other than that we are pretty even

thanks m.jones ive herd alot about the programing you gotta or can do to the newer modles yfz an was thinking of actually buying a older modle just bc i like the carb instead of th efi... but all ma buddies i ride with are tryna talk me into a 450r instead bc they all have one... i dont wanna be the same as every one else.. wanna be different. that why i went an bought a 83 250r atc.. its just akwerd on the trails we ride because its a three wheeler. but i luv it..
