I haven't been on the forum for a couple years. Haven't been on a wheeler for that long. Pain, and stiffness in my right leg kept me off the wheeler, and in January of 2010 the Docs diagnosed the problem as nerves being pinched in my back. I had back surgery in February, but no relief. In addition, I ended up with blood clots in both lungs. 10 days in the hospital, and six months on blood thinner, and still pain, and stiffness. Then they found a hernia that needed to be fixed as soon as I was off the blood thinner. So, after healing up from that surgery it was back to the orthopedic docs. This time they figured it out. I hope. Total hip replacement on June 7 this year. I've been on a walker for most of the time since then. Now I'm getting around pretty good on a cane. I'm almost to the point of trying to through my leg over the PoPo just to see how it sets! The docs say I should back to riding this fall sometime, and it can't come soon enough.
And one more exciting thing that happened is that my Son, and his wife who are part of my riding group along with her parents had a babby girl on Nov. 3 2010. Soon one more rider in the Ribble Holler Bunch!!!

 

Good to hear they might be fixing the pain that started all this.
