Well, just bought a 2001 Sportsman 500 HO and figured it would be good to sign up here.
The Sportsman I bought has no cracks in the plastic, has two near tires and two good tires, two sets of rims 10" and 12", a new winch that has never been mounted, it has a back rest and storage unit (not watertight though), and an extra oil filter.
Issues, so far all I can see is the pull rope does not work and the speedometer does not work. The speedometer has all kinds of moisture in it. Neutral and Reverse light up but nothing else on the display. The lights work fine. I plan on taking it to a dealership and having them look it over.
I bought it for my wife and I to take camping and for hunting. I want a weather tight backrest and storage unit so, if anyone has suggestions let me know. I need a watertight one for our cameras.
