If I am not mistaken, the original style "Dirt Hooks" are no longer available. However, I believe there are some styles that are somewhat similar.

Can't see your pics for some reason; but if you ever run across another set of the suitcase weights for the front, please let me know. I have the RT38 tiller, but not the suitcase weights. I have only used the RT38 once and without the weights, the front was very light...lol

There is a Terrapro with the RT38 and the suitcase weights that is on an auction site in Pennsylvania. Due to be acutioned off later this month.

BTW. Looking for a set of rear rims compatible. Rims I'm looking for must be offset about four or five inches so they don't hang out like a monster truck. Size of tires on it are 24X11-9.

I got both out on a sunny days and ran them a bit to keep the gas fresh in the carbs.

The RC-42 you see in the third pictures is a 42" brush cutter capable of cutting down brush about 3/4" in diameter. I also have a FM-48 lawn finish mower and a TC-38 Garden Tiller. Mounted on the front of the unrestored one pictured is a suitcase weight rack that is used with the garden tiller.

Made only one year in 1988. This is the ONLY ATV every made with a PTO shaft output to drive two point hitch attachments. Tractors have a three point hitch. -thekid-

That is something I'll be looking for once I finish restoring the TC38. My bike came with the weight rack but no weights. They way they are shaped, I would just imagine some of these mini tractors with front suitcase weights will work. I looked at the John Deer wrights and they look similar.

Hey Terrapro! Is it cutting out just when the pto is on? I think there is a safety feature that basically won't let the pto run if it is in Hi. I have tried to cut my PTO on when I had it in Hi and it just automatically dies.

Good Luck!

The carb might new a slight tweak. The only way to adjust it is to put the bike in neutral. Strap out the seat safety. Start it up with emergency brake on. Engage the PTO so the engine is under load and adjust the high speed screw. The reed switch is located in the speedometer and is bothing more than a magnetic activated open and close switch. This is sending revolutions to the CPU. Without a signal the engine will probably stall with the PTO engaged. It works with the governor to assure the engine is not over revving.

You can check the reed switch on the speedo simple enough. Disconnect the speedo cable from the side of the crankcase. Take an volt/ohm meter set to the diod which continuity check. Disconnect the two wires coming from the speedo and connect them to the two leads on your meter. Now retake by hand the cable. You should hear a beep off and on as yoy rotate the cable. If that is so, rule out the reed switch and concentrate on tweeting the carb.

The PTO must have the differential locked and the middle position (L) to engage the PTO. Your running at a higher set of gearing, a high rpm, but slower speed forward speed.

no its cutting out just ridding it without the pto on runs fine if you go slow but if you get into higher gear and gas on it it starts to cut out like its not getting enough fuel but you can rev it up with the pto on and it runs fine so dont think its a fuel problem
